"Kind of hit or miss"
My experience with the website has been hit or miss. Sometimes it works fine, but other times my account freezes up for no clear reason. Trying to find documents is also more annoying than it should be, so it ends up feeling like a hassle.

hiscox had the options I needed without making everything too confusing. It feels like they’re more focused on small business coverage than personal insurance, which worked out well for me.

"Getting a quote was easy, but buying was frustrating"
I’ll give credit where it’s due, the quote part was quick and simple. But the actual checkout process was way more confusing than it needed to be. It kept making me redo things I had already filled out, which got old fast. I’m not saying the whole experience was terrible, but buying should’ve been smoother after the quote was that easy.

"Payment posted late, and the reminders kept coming"
Billing was kind of a joke. My payment went through, but my account still showed as overdue, and then they sent me another reminder like they had no clue what was going on. Support was slow, and I had to explain the same basic thing twice. It wasn’t the end of the world, but it was annoying and a dumb waste of time

"Pretty happy with the quick help"
Pretty happy with how it turned out. I had a question about my policy, and support got back to me way faster than I expected. The person I spoke with explained things clearly and didn’t overcomplicate it, which I really appreciated. It was just nice to get a straight answer without having to wait around for days.

"Claim took a little time but was handled well"
The claims team was helpful and easy to deal with. The payout did take a few days, but that seems reasonable for a claim to be checked and processed properly. In the end, everything got sorted without much hassle...

"Renewal was fine, cancelling was a bit of a hassle"
I had a policy with Hiscox and the renewal notice came through without any issues, but the price had gone up more than I thought it would. So I decided to cancel. It wasn’t exactly difficult, but there was a bit more back and forth than I really wanted. The staff I spoke to were polite, to be fair. Overall, not a terrible experience, just feels like the cancellation side could be a bit smoother.

"Clear updates, super straightforward :)"
They were clear with their communication and explained the main things upfront, which I appreciated! I did have to ask one follow-up question, but overall it felt fair, honest, and transparent enough :)

"I ended up getting a small business..."
I ended up getting a small business policy with Hiscox after checking a couple of other quotes. I’m not totally sure it was the cheapest option out there, but the cover seemed to fit what I needed a bit better, so it felt like a reasonable choice.
The renewal did go up slightly, which was a little frustrating, though I guess that happens. Overall it still seems like decent value, and the process was straightforward without anyone pushing too hard.
